Why should I advertise myself?

By putting your name on a quality product that your customers will enjoy, you are keeping
your name and logo in front of them; it becomes embedded in their minds. By advertising -
you are able to bring recognition and visibility to your name so that eventually it will
generate more business.
Here's a quick question to help you understand...Have you ever seen a FEDEX van? Most
people would say yes but they're wrong. What you have seen is a Ford or Chevy van with the
FEDEX Logo on it...agreed? So why do they do it? To trick you into thinking that they make
vans? No, they did it for the same reason you should put your name on those bottles -
because it make good business sense to keep YOUR name in front of YOUR customers. Anyway
that your can advertise YOUR business, like with our Rootbeer, your NOT advertising for
someone else.
What does the $225 set-up fee cover?

The set-up fee covers many of the necessary elements required to produce a
custom-imprinted label - one with your name on it that you will be proud to serve your
patrons. We dont offer a generic label - everything we do is 100% customized based
on your artwork or ideas. To accomplish this we have an in-house graphics department to
meet your needs. Your label will be created completely "from scratch": your logo
or artwork will be scanned, cleaned up if necessary and several label ideas will be
presented to you to begin the proofing process. The set-up fee also covers the cost of any
stats, negatives, color separations, plates, etc. necessary to produce the final printed
label. Due to our low minimum quantity (1 case) the initial set-up covers all costs
associated with creating, printing and maintaining an inventory of your custom imprinted
label.
Whats in it for me?

Beverages that are private labeled with your name not only expose your customers to your
logo thus creating name recognition, but each time you sell one of these fine beverages
you make money. To look at this another way, each time a customer purchases a beverage,
not only are you making money but they are paying your advertising bill! Another perk that
you will realize with your own beverages is that you will develop a loyalty not only to
the soda line but to your name by advertising it on each bottle.
Why should I bother with it?

Theres no burden on your end - all you have to do is make it known to be available -
either on the menu or via a custom-produced table tent (well help here too) or by
your wait staff mentioning it to customers. It will sell! Just think, by putting your name
on it, its not as if customers can go to the restaurant down the street and ask for
your rootbeer. All you have to do is open up the case and it is ready to be sold.
How much should I charge for the product?

What you charge for the product is entirely up to you. Use your current beverage pricing
as a guideline and keep in mind that when you use price versus cost the bottom line is
what matters and not the percent of return. Example: soda now priced at $1.25 - cost
.20/cup=net 1.05 your rootbeer priced at $1.75 - cost .60/bottle=net 1.15. So...what would
you rather sell your customers? You should always keep in mind the advertising - and that
your premium rootbeer is a bottle; as we all know bottled beverages sell at a higher rate
than tap beverages.
How much can I expect to sell?

We have found that the more point-of-sale material (table tents, 4 paks, menus) that have
your beverages listed for sale the more you will sell ~ the more visible your beverages
are, the more likely you are to sell them.
Whos rootbeer is it?

The Rootbeer is Private Labels recipe. We have all the ingredients and cartons
shipped to our bottlers in the New England region who then bottle the beverages to our
precise specifications.
Do I have to buy a lot to get started?

No, we will produce labels for a single case as long as the set-up charge is paid.
If everyone else around me sells it, why should I?

The answer is elementary. The more that you can promote your name, the more recognition
you will gain and in turn derive more business. Simply put, "It makes good business
sense." Why not advertise a name that will benefit you? Would you ask the same
question about shirts (uniforms) for your staff? It's the same as offering chicken on the
menu - why is it on your menu if its also on everyone elses?
With my name on it, what should I say if I am asked if I make
it?
The truth is that you have a small soda company that bottles it for you...but if you
really want to use your imagination you can have some fun with this one... "We make
it downstairs in the cellar, each morning before we open we mix it up in the old
bathtub."
How do I get the product?

All we need to create your customized product is some artwork or ideas for your label
design. Within three days you will have a proof either faxed or mailed. Once the proofing
process is complete and weve settled on a design, we go to print and arrange your
first delivery. Reorders are a snap ~ we will call you on a regular basis - you tell us
who and when to call (or you can call us or leave an order on the web site). The product
will then be delivered by our drivers on the pre-designated delivery day. Our drivers will
stack the cases wherever youd like.
What if I dont have a logo?

Thats OK - If you have something in mind, our graphics staff will present some ideas
for you to proof. The usual result is that we achieve the look you are trying to project.
Often we have created designs for beverage labels only to found out that our design has
been duplicated on a sign or menu.
How do I make money with this?

By offering a product with your name on it, you will form a loyalty and customers will
purchase it again and again. Another avenue for sales is 4-paks. We have an old style
cardboard carrier that we have found to be very popular with customers; they will purchase
a 4-pak and take it home. This is another profit center that you can utilize to generate
additional sales.
If I put my name on it does that mean I should sell it for
less?
There are two reasons for private labeling:
1: As a cost savings to your customers, thats what Shaws and WalMart and
other stores do.
2: As Advertising. The integrity of a product; better ingredients and high standards of
quality control are important both to you and your patrons. This is the reason to sell
your rootbeer for more money than any other beverage out there - thats your name on
the bottle.
Will I have to buy more labels at any time?

The beauty of our service is that there is never any label purchase on your part - we bear
the full cost and responsibility for that. Unless you change your logo or other
information on the label you will never see a charge.
How much does it cost if I want 4 flavors?

With a single print color and one of our stock background colors (we have 10 to choose
from), four flavors would cost $225 for the label set-up for the 1st beverage and $75 each
for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th beverages (this covers the cost of changing names, nutrition
facts, ingredients, etc.) in a sense it is a plate charge. The total for the four flavors
would be $450 ~ but just think, for an extra $150 you can make each label full color
print.
How soon can I get the rootbeer with my own label?

We ask for a three day turnaround with your help - for ideas and artwork. Product delivery
depends on whether you pick up or we ship. Because the entire production is done in house
(graphic design, label printing, bottles labeled) we have absolute control over
production. Once a label design is approved it goes to print the next day...or sooner.
How does the product arrive - how is it packaged?

The cases are packaged with 24 bottles except for the 1 liter spring water (12 to a case).
All you have to do is open the case and the bottles are ready to put out for sale -
labeled and ready to go. Four-paks can be ordered for carry out.
Can I sell these bottles retail?

Yes. An excellent way is with the Four-paks - "Take Some Home." Time has proven
that customers love the option.
